Daryl Hall feat. Billy Gibbons – La Grange (Live from Daryl’s House in 2014)

This is “La Grange” with a big band sound. Not the three piece version you’ve come to know and love from ZZ Top. “La Grange” is about a whorehouse in Texas – the same one that “Best Little Whorehouse In Texas” was based on. That’s why “they got a lotta nice girls” in La Grange.

More importantly, “La Grange” has one of the most well known blues based guitar riffs in rock and roll. It’s great to see Daryl’s band get excited to play this with Gibbons. Also, Gibbons has a great B.B. King story that they break to in the middle of the song, with “La Grange” still in the background.
