Traffic – Low Spark Of High Heeled Boys (Live in 1972)

Like yesterday’s Marvin Gaye post, this Traffic clip is also from 1972. “Low Spark Of High Heeled Boys” is an epic Traffic song that comes from the album of the same name. On vinyl, I think it took up one side of the record.

This is the classic big line up of Traffic – six players on stage in all. They thinned down a bit towards the end.

Steve Winwood’s haircut here is a little too Lord Fauntleroy for me. But look at that beautiful piano he’s playing! The things that success bring… Great horn solo by Chris Wood, the woodwinds man in the band.
