This is the video, the song, and the band that marked the beginning of my addiction to rock n roll. I was a young teen at the time – a tween in today’s parlance. I was mesmerized by the band and their antics in the video. The clothes – it wasn’t long after seeing this video that I got my first big cat print sport coat – the moves, and the amazing skill the Van Halen brothers brought to their instruments of choice.

So do you remember this video? Remember Dave rubbing the microphone stand across his butt? What is that anyway? I don’t know, but I still love it. I think I’m going to have to get my own mic stand at work so I can bring it to meetings and rub my butt with it when I’m trying to make a point. No? Too much? We’ll see…
